In 1999, Doug Buday bid for a contract for a commercial audio and visual installation in a sports bar environment. The client expressed an interest in tabletop audio but the idea of hardwiring and bolting every table to the floor was too limiting for the customer. Doug, assuming the wireless technology existed, said, "No problem." He was awarded the contract based on his wireless audio.
Back at the office Doug discovered that the wireless technology needed to complete this newly awarded project did not exist. After much brainstorming, several prototypes, and many late nights Sprox® was born.
Sprox® (name conceived from the idea of "sports box") has since evolved into Sprox® Incorporated, a company that serves the business of entertaining via high definition audio and visual system. Sprox® manufactures and distributes Soundog® and Sprox® Display Technologies® high contrast projection screens.
